Frederick "Fred" John Bock
A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Schramka-Densow Funeral Home in Thiensville for Frederick "Fred" John Bock of Thiensville. A longtime Thiensville resident and former village trustee, Fred joined his beloved wife Norma (nee Hahn) in heaven on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006 at the age of 94. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home, from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (before and after the prayer service). A private entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Fred was a facilities manager for Milprint of Milwaukee until his retirement in 1965, but retirement simply opened the door for other pursuits. Fred was a pilot, stained glass artisan, Rotarian, builder and fisherman. He was truly a self-taught man who never stopped learning and teaching.
Fred was the loving father of Rick (Sherry) and David (Cindy). He was the devoted grandpa to Kendra, Jon, Bob and Nora, whose love for him was boundless; and the dearest uncle to Nancy (Tom) Strassburg and Margaret Bock. Fred leaves behind a wealth of friends and caring neighbors.
Fred was preceded in death by his brother Joseph (Velma).
A special thank you to Sue Quinn of Home Instead and to Vitas Hospice for their loving care.
Memorials in Fredís name to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (AMDF) are appreciated.
