Virginia C. Schneider

Virginia C. Schneider, nee Tackes, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006.

She was born on May 10, 1922 in the town of Farmington, to the late Robert and Helen (nee Szumunski) Tackes, and married Philip A. Schneider on April 19, 1941.

Virginia was a charter member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.

She was also a member of the Young at Heart Club, Samaritan Guide and Vagabenders Camping Club.

Besides being a full-time homemaker, Virginia retired from the West Bend Co., where she was a member of the 25-Year Club.

She is survived by two sons, Delbert (Sharron) Schneider of Rapid City, Mich. and Farnsworth (Karen) Schneider of West Bend; eight grandchildren, Marie (Dar-win) Tackes, Shawn (Scott) Koeferl, Jody (Lisa) Schneider, Danna Klumb, Roxanne (special friend, Bud), Rosanne (friend, Tony), Chad (friend, Khristi) and Brad Schneider; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Willard (Bertha) Tackes of West Bend; four sisters, Gladys Ramel of Kewaskum, Adeline Flasch of West Bend, Darleen Rochwite of Campbellsport and Darceal (Henry) Jordan of Boltonville; two sisters-in-law, Gladys and Christa Tackes.

She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a great-grandson, Jay Tackes; four brothers, Allen, Dalvin, Marvin and Orville Tackes; an infant sister; and three brothers-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend with Fr. Rafael Rodriguez officiating.

Interment will take place in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, immediately following the funeral Mass.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church only on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 2 p.m.
