Nell J. Hueppchen

After a courageous battle with cancer, Nell J. Hueppchen of 2116 Chateau Court, Grafton, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006.

Nell was the daughter of the late Hubert and Cornelia (Roos) Rysdyk. Born in Sheboygan Falls on Jan. 12, 1931, she grew up in Plymouth and was a 1948 graduate of Plymouth High School. On June 10, 1950 she and Eugene Hueppchen were married. Gene and Nell raised their six children in rural Sheboygan Falls and Nell worked for H.C. Prange Co. as a salesperson for many years before the family moved to Saukville in 1972.

Nell was employed as a receptionist for Tecumseh Products, Grafton, retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and participated in the church handbell choir for 25 years. Nell enjoyed traveling, gardening, baking and spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren.

Very dear survivors include her husband, Gene; four sons: Michael (Katie) of Green Bay, Jeffrey (Donna) Grafton, Steven, Chicago and Daniel (Sue) Saukville; one daughter: Debra (Mark) Sheets of Cedarburg; nine grandchildren: Tammy (Kevin) Fischer, Gary Hueppchen (fiancˇe Sara Hoffmann), Christine, Jason, Mari and Brittany Hueppchen, and Rachael, Heather and Jacob Sheets. Also surviving are her beloved sister, Johanna Allison, and two cherished great grandsons: Samuel and Sullivan Fischer. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Scott.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, September 16 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St., Grafton, with the Rev. Larry Prahl officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. to the time of services. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth. A memorial fund has been established in Nell’s name for the Organ Fund and Handbell Choir at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
