Mychajlo ĎMikeí Semianczuk Jr.
Mychajlo "Mike" Semianczuk Jr., 44, of Jackson died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 at his residence.
He was born July 25, 1962 in Chicago to Mychajlo and Erika (nee Keil) Semianczuk, and married Karen A. Gilbert on Aug. 22, 1987 at Christ Lutheran Church, Jackson.
Mike graduated from Conant High School in Hoffmann Estates, Ill., where he was active in the school marching band.
He then attended the Universi-ty of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he continued his musical education in the UWM Symphony while earning his bachelorís degree in architecture.
While attending UWM he met his wife, Karen.
During the summers Mike marched in the Guardsmen Drum and Bugle Corps in Schaumburg, Ill. and the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps in Concord, Calif.
After their marriage, the couple settled in Jackson where they raised their family.
Mike was very involved with his sons as a cubmaster for the Jackson Cub Scouts for many years, and for the past two years was the Jackson Little League umpire coordinator.
He volunteered to videotape all of the JV football games for West Bend East High School.
Mike was an architect for TDI Associates in Waukesha for the past decade.
While he enjoyed a busy life, he was able to find time to enjoy boating and fishing and was very interested in photography and videography.
Mike was a loving husband, dad, son and brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; three sons, Mike, Eric and David, all at home; and his mother, Erika of Jackson.
He is further survived by his brother, Stefan (Lindy) of Jack-son; his uncle, Hans (Marga) Keil of Nuremburg, Germany; two brothers-in-law, Joe (Eileen) Gilbert of Richfield and William (Chris) Gilbert of West Bend; two nephews, Joey and Tommy; a niece, Samantha and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Mychajlo, and two aunts, Rosa Beila and Bobi Schilling.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 9:45 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Jackson, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger.
Rev. Richard Stoffel will be the presider, and burial will follow in St. Peterís Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., and also on Tuesday from 9:30 until 9:45 a.m.
