Arlene A. Miller

Arlene A. Miller, 77, formerly of rural Neshkoro, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma.

She was born Feb. 21, 1930 in Columbus, the daughter of Lester C. and Lydia F. (nee Lange) Kitzerow. She married Arthur William Miller on July 16, 1948 in Beaver Dam. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1987.

Arlene and her late husband resided in Columbus, Plymouth, and Hartford before moving to Poy Sippi in 1975. Together they operated Big Daddy’s Bar and Restaurant in Poy Sippi until 1978. Later, Arlene was employed as a press operator at Nelson Muffler in Wautoma until her retirement in 1995.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma and past secretary/treasurer of Lucerne Lakewood Association.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Chadwick, Ixonia, Mary (David) Hansen, Ashippun; two sons, Calvin Miller, Wisconsin, and Kriston (Polly) Miller, Wautoma; one sister, Bernice (Gerald) Miller, Columbus; two brothers, Charles (Darlene) Kitzerow, Rochester, Minn., Mervin (Carolyn) Kitzerow, Cascade; and 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Michael Van; and her son-in-law, Ralph Chadwick.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Hope Lutheran Church in Wautoma, with the Rev. Nathan A. Gauerke officiating. Burial was in Marion Cemetery, township of Marion. Visitation was at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Hope Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 57, Wautoma 54982.

Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma assisted the family with arrangements.
