Allen V. Pieper

Allen V. Pieper, 55, of Hustisford, died Friday morning, April 13, 2007 at Watertown Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family following a sudden courageous battle with cancer. Allen was born June 8, 1951 in Watertown, the son of Vilas and Frances (Maas) Pieper. On Oct. 21, 1972, he married Sandy Wellhoefer at Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford. Allen farmed in the Lebanon area and had been employed as a welder at Baker Rullman Mfg.Co. in Watertown. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Allen enjoyed trap shooting, traveling up north, hunting, fishing, playing pool and bowling. He enjoyed home meat processing, cooking and loved his beagles.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Pieper of Hustisford; his mother, Frances Pieper of Watertown; two sons, Heath Pieper of Beloit and Tony (fiancee, Melissa Uecker) Pieper of Iron Ridge; a granddaughter, Allisa Pieper; a future step-granddaughter, Bryanna Brace; two sisters, Mardelle (Paul) Schuett and Coralli (Norman) Griep; a brother, Royce (Suzie) Pieper; his father-in-law, Elton Wellhoefer; and a brother-in-law, Wayne (Shirley) Wellhoefer. He is furthur survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Allen was preceded in death by his father, Vilas Pieper, and his mother-in-law, Mildred Wellhoefer.

The funeral service for Allen was Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Bethany Lutheran Church, with Rev. David Pries and Rev. Timothy Bauer officiating. Visitation was at the church prior to the service. Burial was in the Village of Hustisford Cemetery.
