Bernice F. Salopek
Bernice F. Salopek, 79, Slinger, died peacefully surrounded by her loving sons on Tuesday evening, April 24, 2007 in The Kathy Hospice after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 4, 1927 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Francis J. and Elizabeth (nee: Shee-han) Zwigart.
She was married to Joseph Salopek who preceded her in death.
Bernice was an administrative assistant with Bel Air Convalescent Center in Milwaukee for many years and was an active member of St. Augustine of Hippo Parish in Milwaukee.
After moving to Slinger, she became very active with St. Peterís Catholic Church.
Survivors include her three sons, Lawrence J. (Laura) Salopek of Madison, Daniel F. (Sally) Salopek of Sister Bay and Michael T. Salopek of Sullivan; two grandsons, Eric and Scott Salopek; a sister, Dorothy Sullivan of Rock, Mich.; and a brother, Edward Zwigart of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 27, 2007 at 7 p.m. in St. Peterís Catholic Church, Father Richard J. Stoffel officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Milwaukee.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass in St. Peterís church.
