Alexander "Alex" Mueller

Funeral services will be held for Alexander "Alex" Mueller of Grafton at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 30, at the Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton. Alex died at the age of 91 on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Lasata Care Center. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Grafton.

Alex was born on March 6, 1916, son of John and Anna (nee Diener) Mueller in Grafton. Alex spent his entire adult life working for Jungers Stove & Range Company and Plymouth Foundry, both located in Grafton.

Alex enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor.

Alex is survived by his two sons Robert (Susan) of Cape Coral, Fla. and Gerald (Geraldine) of Las Cruces, N.M.; grandsons Timothy, Daniel (Jodi), Michael (JoAnn), Steven, Wade Alexander (Shelley) and Wayland (Jennifer); great-grandchildren Devin, Mason Alexander, Ella and Erika; and his sisters Sophie Strassburger of Grafton, Anna Welter of Grafton and Minnie Bretschneider of Fredonia.

Alex was preceded in death by his wife Viola (nee Gosewehr) in January 1995; his parents; his brothers Edward, John and Harold Mueller; and his sister Alvina Oobink.

A special thanks to all of Alex’s friends who made his later years comfortable and enjoyable, especially Ken Wacha, Richard Andryczak, Mitzi Proefrock and the late Bill Wegner.
