Marvin R. ‘Marv’ Kuehl, 89
Marvin R. "Marv" Kuehl, of West Bend, Wisconsin entered into eternal peace of Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Cedar Lake Healthcare Center, after 89 years of life.
Marvin was born on March 1, 1918, the son of John and Dorothy (nee Herman) Kuehl in the town of Wayne, where he was also raised. Marvin left school, and began farming in 1956.
He later started his career in the residential construction business, and in 1960 he pioneered his own home building and renovations company. In his free time, Marvin loved fishing and playing cards. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Wayne.
Marvin is survived by his daughter, Elaine (Kenneth) Schmidt of Richfield; his four cherished grandchildren, Doug (Jen) Schmidt, Debbie (Paul) Fait, Daryl (Brenda) Schmidt, and Diann Schmidt; six great-grandchildren, Taylar, Katyr, Keegan, Lexi, Emily, and Justin; and his sister-in-law, Darlene Kuehl of Campbellsport. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other special relatives and friends.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Celeste I. (nee Foerster) Kuehl on Jan. 21, 2007; his daughter, Gladys; brothers, Romand, Elmer, and Lester; and sister, Wynona Strean.
A funeral service in memory of Marvin will be held on Tuesday, May 1 at noon at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend), with Pastor Daniel Schultz and Rev. Donald Koehn officiating.
Visitation with family and friends will also be held on Tuesday, May 1, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at noon. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Salem Cemetery on Tuesday.
