Clem C. Hahn
Clem C. Hahn of Hartford, formerly of Oconomowoc, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007 in Ohio following a motorcycle accident. He was 80 years old. He was born July 31, 1925 in Rubicon to William and Mabel (nee Weber) Hahn. He married Margaret Cartwright on Aug. 6, 1949 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford.
Clem was an avid motorcyclist with over 50 years riding experience covering most of the United States, Canada, Africa and South America. He snowmobiled in Iceland and Sweden, but was most proud of his recent trip to China teaching children for the Global Volunteers of America. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. Clem and Margaret raised four foster children. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Clem is survived by his son, Bill Hahn of Oconomowoc; two grandchildren, Dustin and Ashley Hahn; nine brothers and sisters, Mildred (Frank) Vollman, Lorraine (Marvin) Nagel, Dorothy (Richard) Frye all of Hartford, John (Gloria) Hahn of West Bend, Mary (Walter) Klink of Woodruff, Charles (Annette) Hahn of Neosho, Marvin Hahn of Woodruff, Jim (Nancy) Hahn of Hartford, and Lucille (John) Van Straaten of Appleton; three sisters-in-law, Rosella Hoffman of Hebron, Frances DiMarcantonio of Waukesha, and Mary Finn of Delafield. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; a brother, Harlan (Caroline) Hahn; and John McKenzie, a foster son.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Aug. 6, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Lawrence with Fr. Joseph Dominic officiating.
Family will greet relatives and friends Sunday, Aug. 5 from 4-8 p.m. at Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford, with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m.
Interment will be at St. Bruno Cemetery in Dousman.
