Raymond Emil Steinbauer Sr.
Raymond Emil Steinbauer Sr., 68, of West Bend passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital after his short and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Milwaukee, the beloved son of Anna (nee Chudada) and George Steinbauer.
Ray was committed to a life- long career in the grocery business.
He owned and managed Ray’s Supermarket in Milwaukee, and continued in the grocery business for his remaining years in the workforce.
Ray enjoyed spending time with his family on Big Cedar Lake.
His positive attitude and contagious sense of humor will always be remembered.
Survivors include his adoring wife of 42 years, Patricia; his two loving children, Jo Ann (Daniel) Hanrahan and Raymond Jr. (Amber) Steinbauer; and four beautiful granddaughters, Mi-kaela, Morgan, Lydia and Emilie.
Ray is also survived by brothers, Marvin and Norwood; a sister, Cheryl Woznia; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, 202 E. Washington St. Slinger, with Father Richard Stoffel officiating.
Friends may gather with the family at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, on Friday from 4 until 7 p.m.
