Norma A. Siedschlag Firehammer
Norma A. Siedschlag Firehammer, 102, of West Bend, formerly of Horicon, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on March 4, 1905 in Hustisford to Gustav and Johannah (nee Neider) Falken-thal, and married Harold W. Siedschlag on May 23, 1936 in Rockford, Ill. He passed away in 1967.
On Feb. 8, 1975 Norma married Carl A. Firehammer in Horicon. He passed away in 1989.
She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Horicon.
Survivors include a daughter, Marion Dolores Walter Philippi of West Bend; a son-in-law, Ken (Ellen) Pippert of Madison; and stepchildren, JoAn (Reinhardt) Wolter and Carl (Ann) Fireham-mer Jr.; grandchildren, Michael (Sandi) Walter of West Bend, Jeffrey (Dawn) Walter of Slinger, Robert (Maria) Walter of Glen-coe, Ill., Brian (Kalena) Pippert of Pennsylvania, Brenda (Scott) Kreischer of Yorksville, Ill., Brad (Tami) Pippert and Brett Pippert, both of Colorado; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; step-great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands; a daughter, Pat Pippert; three sisters, Lydia, Meta and Irene; and a brother, Herbert.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11, at 1 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, with Rev. George Mum officiating.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Mayville.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Com-munity Hospice or Cedar Com-munity.
The family would like to thank all the nurses, members of the staff, social workers and chaplains who cared for Norma and offered words of encouragement, comfort and support to her during her final years at the home. Also, thank you to Dr. Frizell and Dr. Mosely. We would also like to thank Rev. George Mumm for his inspirational words of comfort.
