Lillian M. Wenzel
Lillian M. Wenzel of Slinger entered into eternal peace on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007 at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford. She was 73 years old.
She was born on Dec. 29, 1933 in West Bend to Ernst and Meta (nee Bloedorn) Hornshoe. Lillian married Carl Wenzel on May 11, 1957 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Lillian was a member of St. Paulís in Slinger and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the Cooney River Homemakers Club for 31 years. She loved reading, gardening, and in earlier years, needlepoint.
Lillian is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Carl; her daughter, Christine (Ben) Thorn of Hartford; her son Randy (Brenda) Wenzel of Slinger; her grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, Ashley, Aaron and Nicole; her brother Carl Hornshoe of Hartford. Lillian is further survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by, her parents Ernst and Meta Hornshoe, a brother Herman and her in-laws Carl and Clara Wenzel and granddaughter Rebecca Wenzel.
Funeral services for Lillian will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 799 St. Paul Drive, Slinger with Rev. James Castillo, Rev. David Cooper and Rev. George Enderle officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at the church.
Interment will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. in Union Cemetery in Slinger. Memorials would be appreciated to the charity of oneís choice.
