Funeral services will be held for Rose (nee Kressin) Kurth of Cedarburg at noon on Saturday, Aug. 18 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Rose passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007 at the age of 88.
The Rev. Randolph Raasch will officiate the funeral service.
Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church, from 10 a.m. until noon, prior to the service.
Interment will take place at Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg.
Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
Rose was born on July 26, 1919, daughter of Gustav and Clara (nee Wendt) Kressin.
On Sept. 2, 1944, she married Henry Kurth at Trinity Ev. Luth-eran Church in Freistadt. Their marriage was blessed with four children.
Rose attended First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for the majority of her life.
Besides baking and cooking, Rose loved to spend time with her children and, most importantly, her grandchildren. She was an ex-cellent role model for her family.
Rose is survived by her children Claire (Dennis) Sampolinski, Norbert (Cheri) Kurth, Roger (Jan) Kurth and Kenneth (Joan) Kurth; grandchildren Scott and Sarah Sampolinski, Susanna (Adam) Krakow, Chad (Alison) Kurth, Shawn, Michael and Austin Kurth, Melissa (Nick) Hemling, Bryan and Brandon Kurth, Tania Kurth, Tasha (Kyle) Wood and Andrew Kurth; great-grandchildren Sophie, Kaiden, Kenna, Koral, Julianne Rose and Owen; and her sister Norma Ehlke. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Henry Kurth; her grandson Christian; sisters Ellen Wolfgram and Ruth Boehlke; and her brother Elmer Kressin.
