Herbert Andrew Gundrum, 74

Herbert Andrew Gundrum, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007 at Cedar Community Hospice of West Bend.

He was born on Sept, 1, 1932 in West Bend to the late Cornelius and Margaret (nee Bodden) Gundrum.

Herb was married to Julie Ann (nee O’Neill) on April 17, 2004 in Fox Lake. He was a dairy farmer all his life, learning his trade from his father and sharing it with his son.

He was the fourth generation on the Gundrum Homestead. He proudly donated 234 pints of blood to the Blood Center of Wisconsin.

Herb was a lifelong, faithful member of Resurrection (Sacred Heart) Catholic Church of Allenton.

He served many years on the Parish Council as well as the Holy Name Society. He also served conscientiously on the Addison Town Board and various Agricultural Boards.

Herb is survived by his wife, Julie of West Bend; one son, Roger (Annette) of Allenton; grandchildren, Krista and Sarah; Julie’s children, Sheila, Colleen, Mary Claire, Katy, Betsy, Bill and grandchildren; three sisters, Rita Horne, Teresa Krantz, and Millie (Jim) Bierman. He is further survived by many dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Marion D. Gundrum.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church of Allenton with Fr. Richard Stoffel officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007 from 4 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 7 p.m. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, 2007.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Cedar Community and his many visitors. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to Cedar Community (5595 Hwy Z, West Bend, WI 53095) or Resurrection Catholic Church (215 Main Street, Allenton, WI 53002).
