Frieda A. Kuehl
Frieda A. Kuehl, nee Opper, formerly Lehn, 94, of West Bend died on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 at the Health Care Center of Cedar Community.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1912 in the town of Kewaskum to the late Henry and Christina (nee Jacobi) Opper.
After her marriage to Peter P. Lehn in June, 1931 at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger, the couple started farming in the town of Polk.
Peter predeceased June 9, 1938.
On Nov. 9, 1946, Frieda was united in marriage to Andrew H. Kuehl at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Wayne.
Following Andrewís death on Aug. 24, 1973, she continued to farm until retiring in the early 1980s.
In 1994, Frieda moved to Meadowbrook Manor in West Bend.
She enjoyed quilting, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to caring for her family, Frieda was the type of person who would lend a helping hand to other family members, neighbors and friends.
She was a member of St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger.
Survivors include four children, Mildred (George) Donahue of Kewaskum, Greg (Diane) Lehn of Hillsboro, Shirley Jung of Random Lake and Nancy (Marlyn) Lindert of Slinger; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bernice Lehn; a son, Fred Lehn; a son-in-law, Vernon Jung; two grandchildren, Jacque-line Lehn and Lois Lehn; four brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007 at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with Fr. Richard Stoffel officiating.
Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Union Cemetery, Slinger.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 until 6:45 p.m.
