Joseph A. Simko

Joseph A. Simko, 76, of Hartford passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 at his residence. He was born on July 14, 1931 in Plymouth, Pa. to Joseph J. and Helen (nee Buckley) Simko, and married Dorothy Schild-er on Jan. 8, 1955 at St. Michaelís Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

Joseph worked for All Cast Mfg. in Allenton for 10 years.

He was a member of the Zunker-Held V.F.W. Post 3358 in Slinger, and a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dorothy; his children, Wendy Simko of West Bend, Joseph Simko of Alaska, Mark (Linda) Simko of Hartford and Terri Ann (Randy) Knoll of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Teri Lynn, Derick, Devin, Finni, Kassie and Hunter; and two great- grandchildren, Kenlynn and Brionna.

Joseph is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Mullery.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford with Father David LaPlante officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 6 p.m.
