Susan M. Koenig was born on Aug. 31, 1960 in Port Washington, daughter of Marion (nee Vogel) Spiekerman and the late Dale Spiekerman.
Susan loved motorcycling, and would often be found on her Dyna T-Sport Harley-Davidson.
She loved her yellow Lab, Bastian, and his friend Maggie.
The love she had for her job was always made evident by how proud she was that she worked for Harley-Davidson.
This passion for motorcycling drove her to become a riderís coach for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF).
As a Riderís Coach she worked at Lakeshore Technical College as a MSF instructor and at House of Harley as a Riderís Edge instructor, and most recently as a coach at Road America.
It was in this capacity that she helped many people obtain the training necessary to receive their motorcycle license.
This passion she had to better the lives of those around her went even further, as she became a nationally registered and state-licensed EMT with the Fredonia Voluntary Fire Department.
This drive to improve life was not just for others, but also for herself. She recently completed her bachelorís degree in business from the University of Phoenix, graduating with honors.
When she was not busy with her jobs or volunteer work, she enjoyed going for motorcycle rides with her husband.
She enjoyed the outdoors, and she made every effort to camp and fish as much as she could with her family.
She also enjoyed duck and pheasant hunting with her family.
Susan is survived by her husband John Koenig of Fredonia; son Rick and his wife Susan Bower of South Milwaukee; mother Marion Spiekerman of Grafton; brother Steve and his wife Mary Jo Spiekerman of Maple Bluff; niece and nephew Anna and Karl Spiekerman of Maple Bluff; and mother-in-law Paula Koenig of Grafton.
