Lucille S. (nee Miller) Benter

Lucille S. (nee Miller) Benter, 86, formerly of Fredonia, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg where she had been a resident for the past two years.

Lucille was born in Random Lake on Nov. 21, 1921, the daughter of Nicholas and Susan (Dimmer) Mille, and in August of 1948, she married Robert J. Benter Sr. in Grafton.

He preceded her in death in January of 1973.

Lucille enjoyed baking, cooking, traveling and taking care of her flower beds.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and she took much pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

Lucille is survived by three children, Susan (Jan) Mixdorf of Slinger, Robert (Alison) Benter Jr. of Kewaskum and Steven Benter of Fredonia.

She is further survived by four grandchildren, Samantha, Timothy, Stephanie and Natalie; two great-grandchildren, Thaddeus and Jacob; and one brother-in-law, Ralph LeFever of Random Lake.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr.; three sisters, Leona, Marcella and Loretta, two brothers, Eugene and Ervin; and a great-granddaughter, Heather Marie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Dec. 10, at Holy Rosary Parish-St. Rose Chapel in Fredonia at 7 p.m, withFather Guy Gurath officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. (Hwy. 33 and LL) in Port Washington from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the parish cemetery.
