Viola L. "Ola" Dabringer

Viola L. "Ola" Dabringer, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac.

She was born March 9, 1930 in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Esther (Conrad) Dekker, and on Feb. 18, 1950 she married Robert "Dabby" Dabringer in Dubuque, Iowa.

Together Dabby and Ola made their home in Barton, and moved to Brownsville in 1970.

She graduated from West Bend High School in 1948.

Ola was proud to be a homemaker, and enjoyed canning, baking and making her family’s favorite - potato salad.

Her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren brought her much joy.

For many years Ola and Dabby spent time at Little Green Lake with family and friends, along with a good game of cards.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; two daughters, Jane (Mike) Seiler of Berlin and Judy (Gary) Kuen of Brownsville; a son, Robert (Linda) Dabringer of Brownsville; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Seiler of Fond du Lac, David (Mary) Seiler of Waupun, Peter Kuen of Wautoma, Katie Kuen of Menasha, Andrew Kuen of Sparta and James, Daniel, Joseph and Jacob Dabringer of Brownsville; and her great-grandchildren, Leah and Brent Seiler of Waupun.

She is further survived by her sister, Corliss (George) Fassbender of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Luella Dekker of West Bend; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leroy (Roseanna) Dabringer of Phelps, Rosemary (David) Merkt of St. Nazianz and Richard Dabringer of Germantown.

She was preceded in death by a son, James M. in 1983, and a brother, Earl in 1990.

Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira, with funeral services at 1 p.m.

Rev. Dennis Budka will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, is serving the family.
