Elizabeth "Libby" Anne Tamsen

Elizabeth "Libby" Anne Tamsen was set free into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 while surrounded by her family, at the age of 4.

A celebration of Libby’s life will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 20, at the Christian Life Assembly of God Church, 933 Krumrey St., Plymouth. The Rev. Richard York, pastor of the church, will officiate the service.

Friends may call at the church on Thursday, from 4 p.m. until the time of service.

Wittkopp-Schneider Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Libby was born on Dec. 17, 2002, the cherished daughter of Timothy and Lisa (de Montmollin) Tamsen of Grafton (previously of Plymouth).

She was the loving sister of Josiah and Samuel Tamsen; the adored granddaughter of John and Elizabeth de Montmollin and Donald Tamsen of Cedarburg; the beloved great-niece of Janet Stamper of Cedarburg; the treasured niece of Michael and Christi Tamsen of Cedarburg, Jackie (de Montmollin) and Aaron Layman of Katy, Texas, John de Montmollin and Alyssa Stephenson of Sturtevant, and Jennifer de Montmollin and Daniel Merkel of Shorewood; the darling cousin of "Auntie" Michelle Tamsen and "Uncle" James Kutz of Greenfield; "Auntie" Patricia (Tamsen) and "Uncle" Andrew Van Groll of Grafton, John and Thomas de Montmollin of Sturtevant and Aidan Layman of Katy, Texas. She is further survived by many other wonderful family and friends.

Libby was preceded in death by her grandmother Shirley (Karrer) Tamsen.

Libby’s loved dancing with Papa, listening to music, playing kit-chen and collecting anything that had to do with her favorite television character "Dora the Explorer."

Dora would always bring a special twinkle to Libby’s eye.

Her feisty spirit and tenacious attitude kept everyone around her on their toes.

She will be forever remembered, greatly loved and deeply missed by all the lives she touched.

A memorial fund has been established in the name of Elizabeth "Libby" A. Tamsen for the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
