Imelda "Tiny" Kissinger
Imelda "Tiny" Kissinger, nee Serwe, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center, West Bend.
She was born on April 21, 1920 in Knowles, to the late Simon and Mary (nee Moser) Serwe.
She was raised in Campbellsport and the Ashford area, and graduated from Campbellsport High School.
She then began working at Amity Leather Products where she met Alois "Al" Kissinger. They were married on May 12, 1945 and started a family of their own.
In addition to raising a family of six children, Tiny enjoyed meeting students through the West Bend High School Food Service and babysitting for various families.
She also enjoyed crafting, sewing, cooking and baking and playing golf.
She is survived by her children, Beverly (John) Oelhafen of Kewaskum, Dave (Carol) of Cedarburg, Tom (Karen) and Steve (Lynn), both of Kewaskum, John (Barb) and Jim (Peggy), both of West Bend; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bernice Timler, Gertrude Polzin and Jane Serwe; a brother, Ray (Mary Beth) Serwe; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Serwe.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Al, in 1993; two sisters, Shirley (Earl) Pennington and Millie Justman; a brother, Jim Serwe; two infant sisters; and two brothers-in-law, Pete Timler and Bill Polzin.
The funeral service will be on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 3 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend.
Visitation with family and friends will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 until the funeral service at 3 p.m.
Interment will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Cemetery, West Bend.
