Richard N. Wiedmeyer
Richard N. Wiedmeyer, 82, of West Bend, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born on Feb. 9, 1925 to George and Mathilda (nee Gundrum) Wiedmeyer, and on Sept. 14, 1948, he devoted his life and love to Lucy L. Cash at St. Peter and Paul Church in Nenno.
The couple worked the family farm near Allenton and began a loving family of their own.
Richard loved hunting, fishing, trapping and playing sheepshead. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 58 years and best friend, Lucy; his cherished children, Leo (Susie) Wiedmeyer of Woodruff, Shirley (Steven) Ansay of Hartford, Vernon (Jacqueline) Wiedmeyer of Kewaskum, Gerri (Brian) Literski of West Bend, Marge (Linn) Whitinger of West Bend, Chris (Tim) Wiest of Sheboygan, Mary (Jose) Perez of Madison and Julia Wiedmeyer of Madison; his 13 treasured grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He will also be kept in the hearts of his sister, Aurelia Heller of Milwaukee; his sisters-in-law, Thecla Wiedmeyer of West Bend, Florence "Flossie" Wiedmeyer of West Bend and Genevieve Wied-meyer of Allenton; nieces; nephews; other special relatives and many dear friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard; three sisters; and six brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4886 Highway 175, Hartford, with Father Joseph Dominic officiating.
Visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday at the church only from 3 p.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m.
Interment will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Nenno.
