Robert R. Ludkey

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 15 for Robert R. Ludkey of Nashotah at St. Johnís Lutheran Church (W334 N6990 Stone Band Road, Oconomowoc, WI 53066). Robert entered eternal life on Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 while at Angelís Grace Hospice. The Rev. M. Richard Druckrey will officiate the memorial service and friends may visit after the service. The burial will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Notbohm-Kreutzmann Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Oconomowoc is serving the family.

Robert was born on Oct. 9, 1927 in Wausau, son of Richard and Myrtle (nee Eagan) Ludkey. On May 31, 1952, he was united in marriage to Audrey Klapel in Edgar. Robert was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Stone Bank.

Robert worked as a barber in Thiensville and Mequon for 50 years. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Robert was a member of the Mequon American Legion and the Mequon Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.

Robert is survived by his wife Audrey; his children Wayne (Heidi) Ludkey of Mesa, Ariz., Pam (John) DíAmour of Baraboo, Steven Ludkey of West Bend and Lynn (James) Peterman of Hartland; and his brother John (Marcie) Ludkey of Wausau. He is further survived by seven grandchildren.
