John R. Brandt
John R. Brandt, of Slinger, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center, West Bend, surrounded by his loving family, after 84 years of life.
John was born in Wauwatosa on Jan. 27, 1923, the son of Herman and Julia Brandt, and on Jan. 27, 1945, he married Ann Francis Galewski.
After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own.
Throughout his life, John also lived in Milwaukee, Shorewood, Slinger and West Bend.
He drove for MCTS for 33 years, and honorably never had one driving accident.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Thomas (Karen) Brandt of Colorado and Lori (Tim) Wick of Shorewood; his children-in-law, Donna (the late John) Brandt of Hartford and Claude (the late Sandy) Mueller of Campbellsport; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He will also be missed by other very special relatives and many dear friends.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, in 1972; his son, John; and his daughter, Sandy.
A memorial service in honor of John will be held on Saturday, Febr. 17, 2007 at 4 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 119 S. Kettle Moraine Drive, Slinger, with Tom Brandt speaking words of remembrance.
Visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m.
Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend.
