Funeral services will be held for Audrey Scheer (nee Schulze) of Cedarburg at 7 p.m. on Feb. 22 at First Immanuel Lutheran Church (W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd.) in Cedarburg. Audrey was called to life eternal through her faith in Jesus Christ on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007 at the age of 79. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at the Zur Ruhe Cemetery in Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Audrey was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 26, 1927 to the late Walter and Lydia (nee Voelker) Schulze. Audrey was baptized in the Christian faith on Sept. 25, 1927 at St. Mathews Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. She confirmed her faith at First Immanuel Lutheran Church on April 6, 1941.
On May 13, 1950, Audrey married Edward "Eddie" Scheer at First Immanuel Lutheran Church. After she got married, Audrey became a member of First Immanuel and was active in Ladies Aid, Altar Guild, worship and partaking in the Lordís supper. Audrey loved to bake and cook for her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Audrey is survived by her husband Eddie of Cedarburg; her children Jean (Dave) Mueller of Grafton, Karen (Terry) Kroening of Cedarburg, Gary (Sue) of West Bend and Keith (Katie) of Grafton; and her brother Howard Schulze of Port Washington. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, one stepgrandchild, three great-grandchildren, one step- great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her sister Elaine (Ralph) Laubenstein; and her sisters-in-law Edna Scheer and Jane Schulze.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg or the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
