Betty A. Willette

Betty A. Willette, 79, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007 surrounded by her family.

Betty was born the daughter of Charles and Ethel (nee Lew) Carr on Sept. 15, 1927 in Cedarburg. She was a 1945 graduate of Hartford Union High School. She married Eugene Willette on Feb. 15, 1947 in La Crosse. Betty was a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She had been active as secretary of the womenís group, involved in the quilting group, sang in the choir and was a member of the altar guild. Betty was a member of the DAV Auxiliary. She loved doing crossword puzzles. While she was raising her children, she was active in the PTA and Girl Scouts.

Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Eugene; three daughters, Patricia M. (Jerome) Gabrish of Sheboygan, Catherine A. Willette of Madison and Peggy J. (Mark) Toth of Briggsville; two grandsons, Douglas W. Neitzel of Madison and Daniel W. (Deborah) Neitzel of Sheboygan; four great-grandchildren, Kailey, Clayton, Lexi and Levi, all of Sheboygan; sisters-in-law, Marianne Carr and Therese Carr, both of Hartford, Beatrice Herreman of Beaver Dam and Gertrude Willette of La Crosse; brother-in-law, Donald (Delores) Willette of Marshalls Creek, Penn.; lifelong friends, Mary Patnode and June Mergenthaler, both of Hartford, and Janet Komp of Fond du Lac. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alma Carr, Hilda Reynolds, Jean Waege and Patricia Palmer; brothers, Cecil, Sherman, Raymond and W. Oí Donnell Carr; brother-in-law, Arthur Willette; and sisters-in-law, Geraldine Sande and Shirley Lovicott.

The funeral service for Betty was Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Dr. Mark J. Molldrem officiating. Visitation was on Tuesday at the church prior to the service. Burial was at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in the township of Trenton. Memorials can be directed to the Hillside Hospice Program, American Heart Association or Kidney Foundation.
