Priscilla J. Swift Sr.

Priscilla J. Swift Sr. (nee Wegner), 77, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa.

She was born on July 18, 1929 in Milwaukee to the late Ernst and Grace (nee Sherman) Wegner, and was united in marriage to Charles Swift on Feb. 2, 1946 in Wood.

Together they made their home in Milwaukee until moving to West Bend in 1960.

She worked at the West Bend Co. for 18 years until her retirement in 1978.

Priscilla enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting and cards, especially cribbage.

She also spent her life helping others who were less fortunate in any way she could, including bringing them into her home.

Priscilla is survived by five children, Priscilla (Robert) Fitz of West Bend, Jim (Carol) Swift of Allenton, Leslie (Mari Heart) Swift of Branson, Mo., Henrietta (Kurt) Schmid of West Bend and Rebecca Kurtz of Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Sera-mur of West Bend; a brother Fred (Joan) Wegner of Watertown; and a sister-in-law, Rebecca (Irvin) Jeffe of Huntington Beach, Calif.; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2003; a son, Danny Swift; a grandson, Cody; two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Dalton; a sister and her husband, Patricia and Kenneth Gartzke Sr.; and a brother and his wife, James and Lowine Wegner.

Funeral services for Priscilla will be held on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, with Rev. Robert Fitz officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service.

Cremation took place at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service.
