Lois Strother (nee Heuer) of Omro, formerly of Hartford, passed into eternal life, at the age of 92, on Monday, Dec. 25, 2006 at the Omro Care Center.
She was born Sept. 25, 1914 in Hartford to William and Minnie (nee Herm) Heuer. She married Robert Strother on Aug. 22, 1936 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford.
Lois was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Omro and a past member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford where she was very active in the choir and Sunday school teaching. She worked for Chrysler in Hartford for 25 years retiring in 1977. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Lois is survived by a daughter, Carleen (William) Klein of Omro; two sons, Robert (Candace) Strother of Pleasant Hill, Calif., and William Strother of Corona, Calif.; four grandchildren, Kathy (Jim) Beulen of Omro, Judy Case of Omro, Kindon (David) Miller of Georgia and Katie Mae (Joe) Johnson of Tennessee; and eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and special friends. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1978; three sisters, Verna, Ruth and Melve; and three brothers, Carl, Donald and William.
Funeral services for Lois were Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Rev. Paul Mundinger officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday prior to the service. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. Memorials to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church appreciated.
