Betty J. Mollwitz
Betty J. Mollwitz, nee Engeleiter, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at Kathy Hospice of West Bend.
Betty was born in Theresa, on Aug. 19, 1932 to the late Clarence Sr. and Adela (nee Schulz) Engeleiter, and graduated from West Bend High School in 1950.
Betty married Richard Moll-witz at St. Johnís Lutheran Church of West Bend on Dec. 17, 1955.
She was a service representative for Wisconsin Telephone Co. and a sales associate of Hallmark stores.
Betty enjoyed being a part of group Bible study, playing bridge, sewing and cooking.
She was a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church in West Bend where she was a Sunday school teacher, member of St. Johnís Guild and the Cookbook Committee and vice president/ treasurer of Lutheran Womenís Missionary League.
She also served as treasurer of St. Josephís Hospital Auxilliary, and secretary of West Bend Womenís Club.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Richard; a daughter, Julie Brenegan of Grapevine, Texas; three sons, Fred (Cindy) of Mequon, Robert (Jamie) of Dublin, Ohio and Tim (Maggie) of West Bend; nine cherished grandchildren; sisters, Leatrice Strupp, De De (Richard) Fischer, Minerva (Wayne) Nokes, Lou Ann (Gary) Riley; and her brother, David (Vi).
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Jr. and Myles.
A funeral service in thanksgiving to God for the life of Betty will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 4 p.m. at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, 809 S. Sixth Ave, West Bend, with Pastor Robert Hoehner and Pastor Jeff Dorth officiating.
Private interment will take place in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church only on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 4 p.m.
The family would appreciate memorials to St. Johnís Lutheran Church, Kathy Hospice, and/or a charity of the donorís choice in honor of Betty.
