John Muras of Neosho passed away on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007 at his residence. He was 62 years old.
He was born April 13, 1944 in Milwaukee to Roman and Eugenia (nee Sliga) Muras. He married Irene Nelson on Aug. 28, 1965 at St. Kilianís Catholic Church in Hartford.
John worked for the automotive industry since 1969 in the parts department. He loved hunting both with a gun and a bow. He loved just being outdoors doing gardening or planting flowers. He had been a member of the Neosho Snowmobile Club and the Neosho Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Irene; two sons, Jeffrey (Lori) of Neosho and Steven (Amy) of Hustisford; a daughter, Jennifer (Robert) Trimborn of Hustisford; a grandchild, Aleisha; step-grand and step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Muras, of West Allis and a sister, Roberta (Mike) Lipinski, of Woodruff; sisters-in-law, Gladys (Ron) Hug of Neosho, Ruth Carpenter of Waukesha, Dorothy (Jerry) Wiebelhaus of Neosho, Helen (Ruben) Schaumburg of Mayville, Marianne Nelson of Neosho; and a brother-in-law, Walter (Charlotte) Nelson of Neosho. John is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Art Nelson.
Funeral services for John will be Friday, Jan. 12, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, with Father David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 824 Union St., Hartford. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Neosho.
