Lucille M. Jordan
Lucille M. Jordan (nee Elsinger) of Hartford went to meet the Lord on Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford. She was 92 years old.
She was born Feb. 18, 1914 in the town of Hartford to Severin and Magdalena (nee Schnitzler) Elsinger.
"Jordan," as she was affectionately known, enjoyed living all of her life in the Hartford area.
She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Jordan; best friend, Karen Emmer of Sussex; one daughter, Joyce (Douglas) Asplund of Hartford; three grandchildren, Amy (Dennis) Boettge of Hartford, Karen (Mark) Bohlmann of Milwaukee and Erin (Jason) Knight of Neosho; five great-grandchildren, Audra, Jillian, and Danica Boettge and Madeline and Mallory Knight. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Norbert and Ranier Elsinger; and three sisters, Margaret and Marie Elsinger, and Olga Hesprich.
Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille will be Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007 at 7 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, Hartford, with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at the church from 5-7 p.m.
Interment will be at St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford on Friday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m.
The family gives a special thank you to the Hartford Care Center for making her comfortable and happy during her last year of life.
Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford is assisting the family.
