Wilma M. Kenworthy
Wilma M. Kenworthy, 78, of Kewaskum, formerly of Newton, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, at Mapledale Manor in Kewaskum.
She was born on June 24, 1928, in Springfield, Mo., the daughter of the late Wesley and Lera (Foland) Haseltine.
She was raised in California and was a graduate of Excelsior Union High School. In 1950 she graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College.
On Nov. 25, 1953, she was united in marriage to John W. Kenworthy, and the couple made their home in Newton.
Wilma was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, the Mary Martha Circle and was a founding member of Make Today Count.
She taught art in Newton elementary schools in Iowa for several decades.
In 2005 Wilma and John moved to Kewaskum.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, John; two children, John D. (Denise) Kenworthy of Kewaskum and Mary Kay (Brad) Speaks of Independence, Mo.; four grandchildren, Ciera Speaks, Nathan, Dylan and Ian Kenworthy; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Wilma will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum.
Reverend David Schoob and Father Edwin Kornath will officiate, and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday at the Miller Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
