Robert F. Gross

Funeral services will be held for Robert F. Gross of Hartford at 6:30 p.m. on July 5 at the Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford.

Robert passed away at the age of 85 on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center in West Bend.

The Rev. Robert Kirchman will officiate the funeral service.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Interment with graveside military rites will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 6, at Pinelawn Memorial Park (10700 W. Capitol Drive) in Milwaukee.

Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford is assisting the family.

Robert was born on Dec. 27, 1921 in West Allis, son of Alfred and Esther (nee Linde) Gross.

On June 28, 1947, he married Lorayne Seemann at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa.

Robert proudly served his country during World War II and received the Purple Heart.

He was a member of the Rose-Harms V.F.W. Post 10171 in Grafton.

He was a past member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and current member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

Robert is survived by Lorayne, his loving wife of 60 years; his granddaughter Michelle (John) Burton of Hartford; and his great-grandson Alex Burton. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Jacqueline; and his sister Doris (Arnold) Washkuhn.
