Bruce E. Miller

Bruce E. Miller, 46, of Hartford, formerly of Ripon, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 after 11 years of struggling with cancer. Bruce died from complications following an emergency surgery, while on vacation in the mountains of North Carolina at Spruce Pine Community Hospital.

Bruce was born Feb. 3, 1961 in Ohio, the son of Noah S. and Alta Mae (Troyer) Miller.

After graduating from high school, Bruce went on to graduate from Akron University and Prairie Bible College. He worked as a controller for JM Smucker Co. of Ripon and was presently working for the Quincy Resource Group as their CFO.

On Aug. 9, 1986, he married JoAnne Schmidt in Oregon. His last two weeks on this earth were spent resting and spending time with his family, creating wonderful memories.

He touched and influenced so many people during his relatively short lifetime and was highly respected and loved.

His quiet integrity was a witness to all his love and commitment to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He is free at last to fully enjoy eternal life with his Lord, without the suffering and discomfort of a frail, failing body.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnne; two daughters, Crystal and Jessica and one son, Jason, all of Hartford; his mother, Alta Miller of Mt. Eaton, Ohio; two brothers, Glenn Miller of Medina, Ohio and Ken (Carol) Miller of Calgary, Alberta; and two sisters, Dianne Miller of Mt. Eaton and Linda (Dan) Hershberger of Mt. Eaton.

He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Vernon and Willie; and one sister, Sandra.
