Francis H. Schulteis

Francis H. Schulteis, 85, of Hartford passed to eternal life on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Aurora Medical Center in Hart-ford.

He was born May 6, 1922 in Richfield to Frank and Elizabeth (nee Gass) Schulteis, and married Lucille Jochem on Nov. 20, 1943 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger.

Francis served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church.

Francis worked for Midas International Stamping Corp. for 32 years.

He enjoyed planting his garden, woodworking and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Gerald (Verda) of Iron Ridge, Thomas (Kathy) of Hartford, Joanie (Pat) Frank of Hartford, Dennis (Linda) of Rubicon, Christine of Hartford and Mark (Sue) of Rubicon; a daughter-in-law, Susan Schulteis of Hartford; a son-in-law, Steve Hartl; 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Bea Schulteis of Slinger.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille; a son, David; a daughter, Marion; a son-in-law, Jim Lang; a special friend, Bea Porter; two sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services for Francis will be held Tuesday, July 10, at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, with Father David LaPlante officiating.

Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home only on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Interment will be in St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.
