Rosemary C. Schmidt

Rosemary C. Schmidt, nee Reiff, 69, of the town of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Froedtert Medical Center in Wauwatosa.

She was born on Nov. 23, 1937, in Milwaukee to the late Arthur and Harriett (nee Gerlach) Reiff. She was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Mercy High School.

On June 1, 1957, Rosemary was united in marriage to Richard Schmidt at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in West Milwaukee, and they made their home in Wauwatosa.

The couple moved to the town of Trenton in 1990.

Rosemary attended St. Augustine Catholic Church in the town of Trenton.

She worked for Chicago Tube & Iron and Marquette University Dental School prior to her medical disability in 1989.

Rosemary was a longtime member and commodore of the Milwaukee Boat Club.

She enjoyed gourmet cooking, gardening, winemaking and vacationing in Jamaica.

Rosemary is survived by her three children, Kurt Schmidt of Delta Junction, Alaska., Aimee (Randy) Liepert of West Bend, and Kathleen (Jeff) Hanson of West Bend; three grandchildren, Ian Liepert, Kayla Hanson, and Amanda Hanson; a sister, Kathryn Lacey of Green Bay; her nephews Joe Mike, Arthur and James Lacey; and niece, Kelly Watson; other relatives and friends.

A Christian service for Rosemary will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 16, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend, with Pastor John Bass officiating.

Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in the town of Trenton with the cremains of her late husband, Richard by her side.
