Robert E. Brunhart

Robert E. Brunhart, 82 of Jackson died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Cedar Crossings. He was born Jan. 7, 1925 in Milwaukee to the late Rudolph and Emma (nee Sokora) Brunhart.

Bob served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II. He was present for the liberation of Paris and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. Following his discharge he worked for Hanson Storage in Milwaukee for over 35 years.

He enjoyed fishing, bowling and following the Packers and Brewers and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his 3 children and their families: Lynn Miller of Cherokee Village, AR and her daughter Melissa (Doug) Peters of Grafton, Kathy (Gordon) Michaels of West Bend and their four children: Tammy (Ted) Wuebben, Ben (Julie) Michaels, Jaclyn (Michael) Bechler and Matt Michaels all of West Bend and Dave (Bonnie) Brunhart of Newburg and their daughter Jessie (Nick) Backhaus of West Bend and his step-children: Chris of Barron, John of West Bend and Michelle of Newburg. He is further survived by 11 great-grandchildren, his brother Ralph of Milwaukee, his sister Ruthe Browne of Waukesha, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lucille Larkin and nephew Chris Larkin.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. Michael Tess officiating. Burial will be Tuesday in Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Visitation will be Monday, at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. Memorials to Cedar Crossings are appreciated.
