Alice M. Niemann

Alice M. Niemann (nee Polze) of Hartford went to join her beloved husband, the late Elmer L. Niemann, on Saturday, July 14, 2007, at the age of 77 years.

The dearest and bestest loving mother of Holly (Leo) Sughroue, and Heidi (Jeffrey) Brown. Proud grandmother of Kelly Bodoh, Amanda Sughroue, Gary (Lisa) Wagner, Rose Sughroue, Roger Sughroue, Lynn Sughroue; a sister Edna Zarder and a cousin Lavern Kresse-Dombrowski. Further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was born on Aug. 9, 1929 in Milwaukee, to Ervin and Alice (nee Schwartz) Polze. Alice married Elmer Niemann on Nov. 3, 1951 in llinois.

Alice and her husband, Elmer, were prominently known within the surrounding communities by owning the Tally-Ho from 1955-1968. Alice also worked in Hartford at Vogelsangs Restaurant, Central Chevrolet and Uptown Motor Cars until retirement. Alice was a very kind, loving and generous woman. Close family, relatives and friends will never forget Alice because she left an imprint on many hearts. Alice is finally reunited with the love of her life Elmer. May they both rest in peace with our Lord and Savior.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Ervin Jr.

Funeral services for Alice were Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Private Interment was at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Shimon Funeral Home assisted the family.
