Charles "Chuck" M. Terrill
Charles "Chuck" M. Terrill, of West Bend, entered into eternal peace on Monday, July 23, 2007 surrounded by his loving family at Carle Foun-dation Hospital in Ur-bana, Ill., after 71 years of life.
Chuck was born on Aug. 16, 1935 to Merle and Thelma (nee Potterton) Terrill in Mineral Point, where he was also raised. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1953.
On Aug. 31, 1953, he married the love of his life and best friend, Marilyn A. Stur-devant.
After marriage, the couple began a loving family of their own and settled in West Bend in 1970.
Chuck was a dedicated employee of his familyís farm for 17 years, and was then employed at CW Transport for 20 years. During his employment at CW Transportation, he also attended and graduated from the Universi-ty of Michigan.
Chuck most recently consulted for Kreilkamp Trucking.
He was an active member of the Oddfellows No. 1 in Mineral Point, the West Bend Lodge 138 Free and Accepted Masons, where he was past master mason. He was always involved with Safety and Compliance of Transporta-tion and a CDL driverís license examiner for Wisconsin.
In his free time, Chuck enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling in their motor home, playing cards and cribbage and riding his Harley.
He loved socializing and meeting new people, and above all, he was very proud of his family.
He will be deeply missed and kept forever in the hearts of his loving wife of 53 years, Marilyn; his loving children, David (Dawn) Terrill of Blanchardville, Corinne (Brian) Blan-chette of Mineral Point, Wanda (Declan) Roche of Middleton, Kevin (Heidi) Terrill of Lodi, Calif., and Jill (Steven) Riffel of West Bend; his treasured 13 grandchildren, five cherished great-grandchildren and his sister, Margaret Ann (Tony) Stracka of Madison.
He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, other very special relatives and close friends.
Preceding him in death were his infant grandson, Philip, and a brother, William Terrill.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, on Saturday, July 28, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
A funeral service in memory of Chuck, led by the West Bend Lodge 138 Free and Accepted Masons, will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 1 p.m.
Cremation took place at Paradise Cremation Services, West Bend.
