Gordon Keith "Gordy" Rolf
Gordon Keith "Gordy" Rolf, 80, of West Bend, formerly of Racine, was born to eternal life on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at his home on Silver Lake.
He was born on Nov. 17, 1926 in Butternut, to the late Adolf and Anna (nee Miller) Rolf, and was united in marriage to Mary Calhoun on Aug. 10, 1968.
Gordon was the loving husband of 39 years to Mary; the loving father of Jo Ann (Gary) Newcomer, Sara Rolf (Sandy Winard), Steven (Kathleen) Rolf and Michael (Tanya) Rolf; the loving grandfather and papa of Bobbie Jo (Benjamin) Holloway, Megan, Michael, Emma, Matthew, Zachary, Carson and Mackenzie Rolf; brother of Alton (June) Rolf and the late Lavilla Rolf, Randolf Rolf and Louella McKain.
He is further survived by dear family friends, Judith Bruene, Sue Johnson, Jan Burch, Jackie Scheid, Eric and Marie Fahren-dorf and family, in addition to other relatives and friends.
Gordon was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Kerr.
Gordon proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was employed by Wisconsin Electric for over 41 years and retired in May of 1988.
Heavenís barbershop quartet needed a bass and Gordon answered the call. Both a trumpeter and a singer, music underscored his entire life. Now the encores will echo on forever by all who love him.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, July 27, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend.
A funeral service in memory of Gordon will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 6 p.m., with Chaplain Susan Kolb officiating and Bev Hansen assisting.
The family requests memorials in Gordonís name to Cedar Com-munity Hospice.
