Kay A. Beine
Kay A. Beine, nee Hershey, of Slinger, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 after 67 years of life, surrounded by her loving family.
Kay was born on Jan. 19, 1940 to Paul and Verna (nee Buser) Hershey in Fontana, Pa. and was raised in Palmyra, Pa.
She later resided in Missouri, where she was employed at an orphanage.
During her employment, she found a lasting friendship with Carol Weber. The two of them would make visits to Slinger, where Carol was from, and Kay ended up meeting Harold Beine.
Kay and Carol both eventually found themselves residing in Slinger.
On Aug. 29, 1964, Kay married Harold and the couple soon began a family of their own.
The couple remained in Slinger, where they ran a hobby farm.
Kay enjoyed keeping herself busy with hobbies, drying flowers, and using them in a variety of crafts. She was very active in the area farmersí markets and the Homemakers of Washington County.
She truly loved her special morning coffee sessions with her close friends.
Kay will be missed by her loving children, Laure (Robert) Dei of Kewaskum and Christopher (Tammy) Beine of Slinger; her cherished grandchildren, Kate-lyn, Savannah and Aubrey Dei, all of Kewaskum; three sisters, Patricia Williams of Lancaster, Pa., Donna (Paul) Spitler, and Barbara (James) Britting, both of Palmyra, Pa.; and her brother, James (Judy) Hershey of Grantville, Pa.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other special relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and her parents.
A funeral service in memory of Kay was held at the Phillip Funeral Home, West Bend, on Wednesday, July 25.
The family expresses their gra-titude for memorials donated, in lieu of flowers, to either the Colo-Rectal Cancer Society of Wisconsin or the Washington County 4-H Leaders Association.
