Paul T. Spaeth

Paul T. Spaeth, 80, of of Tucson, Ariz., passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2007 in Tucson.

He was born Feb. 19, 1927 in Milwaukee, the son of Arthur and Joshephine (nee Merten) Spaeth and grew up in Slinger.

He married Alta Guinter.

Paul spent 20 years in the U.S. Army, and after retiring, he spent 20 years working for the Army as the chief of the U.S. Army Intelligence School at Ft. Hauchuca, Ariz.

He is survived by his sister, Frances Lackas of Theresa; nieces, Patty (Dan) Lynch of Fond du Lac, Helen (Gary) Margelofsky of Mayville, Hertha Lackas of Theresa, Theresa (John) Phillips of Fairfax, Va., Kathy (Rick) Margelofsky of Mayville, Barb (Kelly) McDaniels of Oshkosh, Doris (Jim) Koenigs and Ann Hoff both of Lomira and Linda Lackas (fiancˇ Mark Rochwite) of Campbellsport; a nephew Ron Lackas (special friend Pam Betterfield) of Theresa; seven great-nieces; nine great-nephews; a great-great- niece; three great-great-nephews; two grandsons; a granddaughter, a great-grandson; three great- granddaughters and a great-great- granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alta; a brother-in-law, Reuben Lackas; a godson, Joe Lackas; a son, Bill Guinter and daughter-in-law Mary Guinter; and grandson Larry Guinter.

Funeral services were held on May 28 at Pius X Catholic Church in Tucson.
