George C. Lang
George C. Lang, 75, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2007, at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital, town of Polk.
George was born on Feb. 29, 1932 to the late George and Theresa (nee Rettenberger) Lang in DeFuniac Springs, Fla.
He was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Messmer High School in 1950.
After high school, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force as an aerial photographer.
George then attended Milwau-kee School of Engineering.
He married Carol Lang on June 9, 1956 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend.
George worked as a plumber for the next 45 years at various companies.
He was a member of Plumbers Local 75 and the Moose Lodge.
After retirement, George was a mentor at The Threshold.
George’s favorite pastimes included photography, fishing, yard work and flying.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Carol; his cherished children, Daniel (Karla) of Big Bend, Jean (Randy) Groth of Menomonee Falls, Joan (Michael) Gasser of Prentice, Steve (Pam) of West Bend and Stephanie of Grafton; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He is further survived by nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Nancy.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, at 10:30 a.m. at The Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 10:30 a.m.
