George A. Reimer

George A. Reimer, 86, of Hartford passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.

George was born on Feb. 21, 1921 to Frank and Mae (nee McEvoy) Reimer, and married Katherine Wiesner on June 3, 1953 at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian.

He was a member of St. Mary’s of the Hill Parish.

George was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree All Saints Council 4240 in Menomonee Falls, and a 4th Degree Holy Hill Assembly 1677 member.

He worked for Johnson School Bus for over 45 years as a mechanic, driver and shop foreman.

George enjoyed gardening and repairing Simplicity lawn tractors.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Katherine "Tootie;" his children, Robert (George Danicich) of Brown Deer, Richard (Sherry) of Milwaukee and Lori Masters (fiancˇ Jerry Lara) of Colo.; and a sister, Genevieve Schwartz of Lomira.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances (Frank), Katherine (Doc) and Helen (Peter); two brothers, Joseph and Eugene; and a brother-in-law Clarence.

A Mass of Christian Burial for George will be held Thursday, June 7, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Therese Chapel, Holy Hill, 1515 Carmel Road, Hubertus.

Family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, from 4 un-til 8 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford, with Knights of Columbus service at 7:15 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Menomonee Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Hill Basilica are appreciated.
