L. Thomas "Tom" Bell

L. Thomas "Tom" Bell, 71, entered into eternal life on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007 at the Anaheim Medical Center in Anaheim, Calif.

He was born on July 16, 1935 to Arlet G. and Ellen M. (nee Johnson) Bell in Milwaukee.

Tom was a 1954 graduate of West Bend High School.

Shortly after graduation, due to his open dislike of the Wisconsin winter weather, he left Wisconsin for "sunny" Florida.

Tom served his country honorably in the U.S. Army for three years, most of which was in Puerto Rico.

While he was there he met his wife, Rosa Chacon, and they were married in 1959 in Puerto Rico. They had one son, Peter.

Tom moved back to the mainland to Cypress, Calif. in 1984, where he enjoyed the weather immensely.

His last visit to Wisconsin was in July of 1997 to visit the family and attend the South Center School reunion.

He is survived by his son, Peter and Peterís mother, Rosa Chicon of Stephenville, Texas; and a granddaughter, Kira, of Milwau-kee.

He is further survived by a sister, Donna Klumb of Jackson; three brothers, John (Kathy) of Menomonee Falls, William (Carol) of Mukwonago, and Den-nis (Marlene) of Cedarburg; a sister-in-law, Laurie Bell of Cedar-burg; and a brother-in-law Roy Herbener of West Bend; along with many nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kathy Her-bener; four brothers, Richard, Robert, Jerold and Peter Bruce: as well as a sister-in-law, Diane.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Saviorís Church, Highway G in Germantown, with Reverend Jane Terry presiding.

The Risher Funeral Home of Montebella, Calif. assisted the family.
