Hilda Kirst, 93
Private services were held for Hilda Kirst who died on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the age of 93. Interment took place at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Grafton. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is serving the family.
Hilda was born on Jan. 14, 1914 in Grafton, daughter of Alfred and Minnie Mintzlaff.
She grew up in the town of Grafton where her family farmed for many years and later she went on to work at the woolen mill in Grafton.
Hilda married Alvin Kirst at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton and their marriage was blessed with one daughter, June.
Hilda was a longtime active member at St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on the Ladies Guild. Hilda enjoyed spending time with her family, but her true love was taking care of her grandchildren.
Hilda is survived by her daughter June (Steven) Shock of Grafton; her grandchildren Brenda (Jack) Arnett, Dr. Sarah (fiance Dr. Keith Chan) Shock, Leah Shock and Steven Shock Jr.; and her great-grandchildren Anna and Mary Arnett. Hilda is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alvin Kirst.
