Glen J. Cooper

Glen J. Cooper of Hartford passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Hartford Care Center. He was 86 years old.

He was born June 11, 1921 in West Allis to Robert and Addie (nee Clark) Cooper.

Glen served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 32nd Division. He was a member of the Hartford V.F.W. Post #8834. He worked for the Asplundh Tree Co. for 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, and going to the Slinger Super Speedway on Sunday afternoons.

He is survived by his sister, Violet Olson of Hartford; two sisters-in-law, Viola Cooper of Hartland and Delores Cooper of Menomonee Falls. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Glen is preceded in death by five brothers, Ivan, Orville, John, Earl and Clarence; two sisters, Irene (Albert) Serres, and Clara Belle; one brother-in-law, Floyd Olson.

Funeral services for Glen will be held on Tuesday, July 3 at 5 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford with Rev. Douglas Livingston officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 - 5 p.m.

Graveside Military Rites will be conducted on Tuesday evening following the services at the funeral home at Union Cemetery, Slinger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of one’s choice are appreciated.
