Elsie May Marcy
Elsie May Marcy, nee Duehning, of Slinger, was welcomed into her Lordís house on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at her residence, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, after 73 years of life.
Elsie was born on Dec. 4, 1933 to Arthur and Anna (nee Stuettgen) Duehning in Slinger, where she was also raised and attended St. Peterís Catholic Grade School.
On Dec. 1, 1951, she married Eugene E. Marcy at St. Peterís Catholic Church.
After marriage, the couple continued living in the Slinger area, where they began a loving family of their own.
Elsie was employed as a factory worker at Carbon Engineering in Slinger for over six years, at Midas International in Hartford for 11 years, and then at MJ Stevens Pub and Grill for 17 years.
Elsie will be missed by her friends she encountered through her memberships at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger, St. Peterís Christian Mothers and the Women of the Moose of West Bend Lodge 1398.
She will also be missed and forever loved by her cherished children, Deborah (David) Diener of Slinger, David (Lynne) Marcy of Fond du Lac, Jean Marcy (Chris Himes) of West Bend and Sharon (Al) Grammel of Charlotte, N. C.; her treasured grandchildren, Celena Marcy, Davey Wayne Marcy, Cassie Grammel, and Joshua and Whitney Marcy; her brother, Leo Duehning of Slinger; four sisters, Dolores Rudorf of West Bend, Marcella McCardle of Milwaukee, Anna Mer-genthaler of Slinger and Carol Saegert of Slinger; many nieces, nephews, other special relatives; and many dear friends.
Elsie was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents; six brothers; two sisters; and her special friend, Clarence Schemeneauer.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, March 2, from 3 until 6:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 202 E. Washington St., Slinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial in honor of Elsie will be held on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the church, with Father Richard J. Stoffel officiating.
Following the Mass, a luncheon for family and friends will be held in the church hall.
Cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend, followed by interment of sshes at (old) St. Peterís Catholic Cemetery.
