Andrew A. Brown

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on March 11 for Andrew A. Brown of Warsaw, Ind. at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church (210 South High Street) in Warsaw. Andrew passed away at the age of 83 at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.

The Rev. Ron Horgan will officiate the memorial service and a reception will follow the service. A private military graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. The Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw is serving the family.

Andrew was born on Aug. 6, 1923 in Scarsdale, N.Y., son of George Marx Brown and Ethel Lindsay Drennen Brown. He was a graduate of Scarsdale High School. He also graduated from Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y., where he earned a degree in business.

A veteran, Andrew belonged the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943-45 during World War II. He served as a radar technician on the Enola Gay Project.

On Sept. 4, 1948, Andrew married Alice Parker Foss. He was employed by Diebold Office and Banking Industries and worked in the area of sales and management.

Andrew resided in the Kosciusko County area for 4 and 1/2 years. He was a active member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Warsaw and Gideons International and participated in numerous mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala, Bonaire, Austria, Russia, Alaska and Argentina.

Andrew is survived by his wife Alice P. Brown of Warsaw; children Carin (Tom) Roy of Winona Lake, Ind.; Larry Brown of Dothan, Ala. and Nancy (Dale) Belcher of Independence, Kan.; and his brother George Donald Brown of Montpelier, Vt. Andrew is further survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and his sister-in-law.
